Summer birthdays are tricky. Do you celebrate early or late? Do you just have a small family party? Do you bag it altogether and celebrate half birthdays instead?
This year Solo sort of hit the jackpot. I started to feel sorry for him as we went to more and more birthday parties, thinking of all the fun he'd miss out on growing up with a summer birthday. So looks like he'll come out with at least 3 parties this year to compensate. (1 school party last week, 1 friend party yesterday, and then his actual birthday family party)
We partied hard from 1 pm until 6:30 pm, getting home after 7... Wired from brownies and new toys... Begging to wear his new track suit to sleep in.
I love this age.
